MATMEET 13

8 years after Matmeet 12, this meet at Gwynver in West Cornwall was hurled together to say farewell to James Harvey before his emigration to the Orkney Isles. Shifty beach break waves meant GoPro shots only but the vibe was good and the crowd was thin.

MATMEET 12

Swedish mat surfer, Tim Ciasto, visits Cornwall so we just had to throw together an impromptu mat meet. A few old faces missing but a stack of new faces presnet for two mornings of massive fun in tiny waves. Filmed at Widemouth Bay in July 2014 by Christina Nüske and Tim Ciasto and edited by Tim.

MATMEET 11

This meet was originally scheduled for K-Bay, venue for Matmeet 9, but the swell just didn't want to show so we made a last minute move to Mawgan Porth. Matmeet X went off on 4th Nov, 2012. Seemingly cursed, we managed to finally get our tin anniversary (tin?!) out of the way and despite Karma seemingly trying to play havoc we got some... MATMEET 9

The 9th meeting of UK Mat Surfers saw 6 of us get together at the phenomenon that is K-Bay. Near perfect chest to head high conditions with light offshores saw 3 hours of glass making this a strong contender for the best conditions for a meet yet. November, 2011 at North Cornwall’s Crackington Haven was a meet missing several regulars but numbers were still good with a new recruit even falling in love with surfmats after a debut in challenging conditions. Right click HERE to download an HD version of the movie.

Early May, 2011 and it was Widemouth Bay in North Cornwall.  A dull cloudy day with brown water didn’t help make things too photogenic but a lot of fun was had all round on some nice left handers off Black Rock. Right click HERE to download a higher res version of the movie.

MATMEET 4

MATMEET 1
